About · The Advocate
A career spent standing beside families.
For thirty-two years, Cynthia J. Bohn brought scholarship, life experience, and resolve to the legal questions that shape a family and a future.
Her Story
She came to the law by way of people first: their biology, their communities, their psychology, and the pressures that gather around a family in crisis.
As a student of biology, sociology, and psychology at Vanderbilt University, Cynthia Bohn came to understand people from all walks of life. After working in the community in restaurant ownership and construction sales, she decided to pursue law, where she could help individuals and families in Tennessee when they need it the most.
For 32 years, it has been her calling to provide fearless counsel, skilled advocacy, and excellent legal representation to Nashville and the surrounding areas. She collaborates with every client, tailoring her strategies to suit their unique needs and goals.
That combination became the character of the practice: listen closely, prepare thoroughly, explain plainly, and do not step back when a child or a family needs protection.
She will retire from the practice of law effective December 31, 2026.
